JCAM Secretariat
Continuing the realisation of the mission of the Society of Jesus...
JCAM secretariat is made up of a team of Jesuits and lay collaborators playing an important role in the service of the Church and the Society of Jesus in Africa. The secretariat continues the realisation of the mission of the Society of Jesus through spiritual and intellectual reflection with a deep commitment to faith, social justice, solidarity with the poor, and respect of God’s creation.
Africama House
In October 2019 the JCAM secretariat moved from three different locations around Nairobi to a new purpose built centre – Africama House in the grounds of the JCAM St Ignatius Community in Nairobi. As well as bringing together for the first time all the JCAM secretariat staff the building also allows JCAM to welcome visitors and to host small meetings.
From Africama the staff supports the work of the common formation centres within the Conference as well as the Jesuit Historical Institute which is hosted by Hekima University College. The Jesuit Justice and Ecology Office, (JEO) and the African Jesuit Aids Network (AJAN) are now more closely integrated into the administrative work of JCAM with much improved sharing of resources, knowledge, and insight. The Jesuit Development Office (JDO) is based in Africama as, of course, are the offices of the President, his Socius, the Treasurer, Safeguarding, Communications, and other support staff.

Pay by bank transfer
If you wish to make a donation by direct bank transfer please contact Fr Paul Hamill SJ treasurer@jesuits.africa. Fr Paul will get in touch with you about the best method of transfer for you and share account details with you. Donations can be one-off gifts or of any frequency; for example, you might wish to become a regular monthly donor of small amounts; that sort of reliable income can allow for very welcome forward planning in the development of the Society’s works in Africa and Madagascar.
Often it is easier to send a donation to an office within your own country and Fr Paul can advise on how that might be done. In some countries this kind of giving can also be recognised for tax relief and the necessary receipts will be issued.
