The JCAM Formation Assembly follow up meeting was held from January 3 to February 1, 2020. The aim of this meeting was to engage in discussions on key issues following the Formation Assembly which took place in December 2019. The meeting brought together the planning committee which is constituted by 2 province formation delegates, 2 rectors, 1 provincial and the Conference delegate of formation. They were joined by the two long-term collaborators appointed by the JCAM President Fr Agbonkhianmeghe Orobator SJ. The team which was mandated by the JCAM President is led by the JCAM Formation Delegate Fr. John the Baptist Anyeh SJ.
The objective of the meeting was to further discern the pertinent orientations and outcomes of the Assembly, to design a concrete plan and a creative process to successfully implement the necessary renewal and changes of our formation programme in Africa and Madagascar. The Formation Assembly was held in response to the evolving context and challenges of formation in Africa and Madagascar and inspired by the call of GC36 on the importance of collaboration, discernment, and networking. The meeting structure was designed to incorporate spiritual conversations with prayer at the core of the small and larger groups.

If you wish to make a donation by direct bank transfer please contact Fr Paul Hamill SJ treasurer@jesuits.africa. Fr Paul will get in touch with you about the best method of transfer for you and share account details with you. Donations can be one-off gifts or of any frequency; for example, you might wish to become a regular monthly donor of small amounts; that sort of reliable income can allow for very welcome forward planning in the development of the Society’s works in Africa and Madagascar.
Often it is easier to send a donation to an office within your own country and Fr Paul can advise on how that might be done. In some countries this kind of giving can also be recognised for tax relief and the necessary receipts will be issued.
